Oyster sauce and broccoli is my favorite food. This dish goes well with rice.

Broccoli with Pork and Oyster sauce

2 cups broccoli (slices)
1 cup pork (slices)
3 cloves garlic (minced)
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp milk
1 tbsp soy sauce
3 tbsp oyster sauce
3 tbsp oil
1/2 tsp sugar


Put sliced pork, garlic, pepper, soy sauce and milk in a bowl. Mix well. Cover and refrigerate for 15 to 20 min. Place skillet over medium high heat. Add oil and the pork mixture and stir-fry, until the meat is no longer pink. Add broccoli stir-fry. Add oyster sauce and sugar. Stir-fry until it is done. Remove from the heat and serve.

My grandma used to cook this recipe for me when I was a little girl. She used frog's legs instead of chicken. We used to eat this a lot in a raining season because there were many frogs around. I did not use frog's legs. I use chicken and it is pretty good.

Turmeric Chicken

2-3 cups chicken slices
1 tbsp Turmeric
2 tbsp mince garlic
1 tsp salt
2-3 tbsp canola oil

Garnish: Cucumber slices, coriander leaves


Put chicken, turmeric, garlic and salt in a mixing bowl and let it set for 15 min. Place a pan over medium high heat and put oil then add chicken. Stir-fry until it is done. Taste! Place on a serving dish. Garnish!

My first Apple Clafoutis recipe which I got the recipe from my friend's mom was pretty good. I thought I try the second one. I called it Apple Clafoutis #2. Try it and please let me know what you think.

3 granny apples (peeled and thinly slices)
2-3 tbsp butter
3/4 cup heavy whipping cream
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup milk
3 eggs
1/4 cup sugar
2/3 cup all purpose flour
1 tbsp of sugar for sprinkle on top (optional)


Preheat the oven 350F. In a pot add butter and slices apples and cook over medium high heat until the apples soft. In a blender mixer, put flour, sugar, vanilla, eggs, milk and heavy whipping cream and blend well. Pour the mixer in a baking dish then put cooked apples on top and sprinkle the top with sugar. Cook in the oven until it is done, around 45 to 60 min. Bon Appétit!

Salmon curry is one of my favorite. I have naver made this in Thailand because we don't have much salmon, but now I am here in Seattle; there is plenty of salmon to make any dishes I want. Try this! You will like it too.

Salmon Curry (Panang Curry)

Salmon
2 tbsp panang curry paste
1 ¼ cups coconut milk
1 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp soy sauce
Red bell pepper, kaffir lime leaves shredded (garnish)


Place a pan over medium high heat, and add ¼ cup of the coconut milk, add the curry paste, and stir it until the oil begins to separate out. Add the remaining coconut milk and the salmon. Let it cook for a while then add sugar, soy sauce. Remove from the heat and garnish with red bell pepper, lime leaves. Serve with rice. (1 serving)
