Aunt Verne's Brown Sugar Frosting

2 cups brown sugar, firmly packed
1/4 cup milk
2 tablespoons margarine or butter
vanilla (to taste)

Stir brown sugar, milk, and butter until boiling. Boil one minute. Add vanilla and beat.
