Buttermilk Brownies
1 cube margarine 1/4 cup cocoa 1/2 cup oil 2 cups flour 2 cups sugar 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup buttermilk 2 eggs 1 tablespoon soda 1 teaspoon vanilla
Frosting: 1 cube margarine 1/4 cups cocoa 1/3 cups buttermilk 1 pound powdered sugar Dash salt
Bring to boil 1 cup water, cocoa, margarine, and oil. Pour over flour, sugar, salt. Blend well.
Add buttermilk, eggs, soda, and vanilla. Mix well. Pour into 11 x 16 x 3/4 inch cookie sheet pan. Bake 20 minutes at 400F.
Frosting: Bring margarine, cocoa, buttermilk to boil, then add 1 pound powdered sugar and a dash of salt. Frost brownies immediately after removing from oven.
