Ingredients and Recipe Instructions


Chocolate Angel Food Filling

6 egg yolks
1 cup milk
3/4 cup sugar
2 teaspoons gelatine

1 cup whipped cream
1/2 cup nuts
vanilla extract to taste
maraschino cherries or crushed pineapple to taste

Warm egg yolks, milk, and sugar in top of double boiler. Add 2 teaspoons gelatine dissolved in 1/2 cup cold water. Cook till it coats spoon and thickens some. Cool.

Fold in 1 cup whipped cream, nuts, vanilla, and cherries or pineapple. Put in refrigerator until it starts to set.

Spread between 2 layers of chocolate angel food cake and on top and sides. Refrigerate.
