French Toast
3 eggs
3/4 cup milk
1 tablespoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
4 slices bread (3/4" thick)
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
Confectioner's Sugar
In a small bowl, beat eggs, milk, sugar, and salt until smooth and blended.
Arrange bread in single layer in 9" square baking dish. Pour egg mixture over bread, turning to coat evenly. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
In half of butter in electric skillet saute bread until golden, about 4 minutes on a side, adding butter as needed. Dust slightly with confectioner's sugar.
Makes 4 servings.
