Mom's Christmas Cookie Frosting

2-3 Tbsp butter, very soft
2 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
or 1/4 tsp almond flavoring
Milk
Food coloring
Blend together the butter, 1 cup of the powdered sugar, and the vanilla (or almond).
Add the milk, 1/2 teaspoon at a time, and blend in more powdered sugar to get the desired consistency.
