Ingredients and Recipe Instructions


Seafoam Frosting

2 egg whites, unbeaten
1 1/2 cups firmly packed brown sugar
1/3 cup water
1 tsp. vanilla


In top of double boiler, comgine egg whites, sugar, and water. Beat about 1 minute, until blended.

Place over rapidly boiling water and beat constantly for 7 minutes or until frosting stands in peaks.

Remove from boiling water; add vanilla; beat until thick enough to spread.

Makes enough for one 9 x 11 cake or two 8- or 9-inch round layers (tops, sides, and between layers).
